A Legacy of Excellence

WEB Kiefer is a force to be reckoned with in the world of fencing. With an impressive resume that includes four NCAA championships, 12-time team Pan American championships, 13-time individual Pan American championships, and a 2018 team world championship, Kiefer has firmly established herself as one of the greatest fencers in American history.

Born into Fencing Royalty

Kiefer's journey in fencing began at a young age, as she was born into a family with a rich fencing legacy. Her grandfather, George Kiefer, was a 1984 Olympic bronze medalist, and both of her parents were accomplished fencers as well. Growing up in such a supportive environment, it was almost inevitable that Kiefer would excel in the sport.

Historic Olympic Double

In 2021, Kiefer made history by winning back-to-back gold medals in foil fencing at the Tokyo Olympics. This remarkable achievement was not only a personal triumph but also a testament to the strength of the American fencing program. Her teammate, Lauren Scruggs, also made history by taking the silver medal, becoming the first Black US fencer to win an Olympic medal.

Inspiring the Next Generation

Kiefer's success on the world stage has not only brought glory to the United States but has also inspired countless young athletes to pursue fencing. Her determination, resilience, and commitment to excellence have made her a role model for aspiring fencers everywhere.
