Jontay Porter Signs Deal with Toronto Raptors

NBA Center Joins Team After Impressive Season

Contract Details and Season Stats

NBA center Jontay Porter has inked a one-year contract with the Toronto Raptors, as per Spotrac. The deal includes an annual salary average that has not been disclosed.

In the 2023-24 season, Porter will reportedly earn a salary of $2.3 million, while carrying a cap hit of the same amount. The contract is a two-way deal, meaning Porter will split time between the Raptors and their NBA G League affiliate, the Raptors 905.

During the 2022-23 season, Porter played in 26 games with the Raptors, starting five of them. He averaged 4.4 points per game on 43.5% shooting from the field.

Prior to joining the Raptors, Porter played three seasons with the Memphis Grizzlies, earning a total of $2.3 million over that span, according to Spotrac. His salary was impacted by the COVID-19-shortened 2020-21 season.

Porter could potentially earn a maximum of $559,782 for the 2023-24 season. He had previously signed a contract with the Detroit Pistons on October 2, 2023, valued at over $2 million per Spotrac, but was waived 19 days later.
